3 Good Reasons To Get On The Market Now

With 2017 now behind us and the New Year fully underway, you may have come to the conclusion that a house move may be on the cards this year. Our advice is simply, ‘don’t delay’.

January is historically a very busy month for agents with many vendors thinking “New Year, new home” and this is certainly the case for Chelton Brown.

We also find that due to the general increase in available and new properties, willing and able purchasers are waiting in the wings for properties that meet their criteria and it is not unusual for viewings to be booked within minutes of new listings going on the market. Offers are then made and asking prices are being achieved.

Still not convinced? Then let me give you 3 good reasons you should give this some serious thought now:-

1.      Viewings on property portals such as Right Move and Zoopla spike significantly after Christmas and into the New Year with Vendors thinking or planning to list their properties and purchasers looking for their next suitable purchase.

2. Looking at the figures for 2017, property transactions peaked during the first quarter of the year.

3. Following the autumn 2017 Budget announcement, the government have now abolished stamp duty for some first-time buyers. ALL first-time buyers will now be exempt from stamp duty on the first £300,000 of homes worth up to £500,000. This will certainly have a positive effect on available market activity.

If this has made you think about the great advantages of getting sale ready, then contact our dedicated sales team today to arrange your free property market appraisal. We’ll make the whole process as stress-free as possible and with sales packages starting from just £499, why wait any longer?
