Who is ARLA? What is ARLA? Why is it so important for your
letting agent to be an ARLA member?
ARLA stands for Association of Residential Letting Agents. ARLA
is the professional and regulatory body for letting agents in the UK.
The organisation was formed as it was recognised that the
requirements of the residential lettings market were so specific that it was
required to promote standards in this growing sector of the property market.
ARLA members are governed by the Code of Practice which is a
framework of standards that are far higher than the law demands. ARLA members
are required to have professional indemnity insurance cover, have
professionally qualified staff and to have their bank accounts that hold client
money audited annually ensuring that they conform to a stringent accounting
practice.
ARLA is seen as the highest level for professionalism that
both landlords and tenants can have confidence in. If your letting agent is not
an ARLA member then they are not willing to comply with strict regulations for
the benefit of their clients; which begs the thought – Is your investment safe
in their hands?
We are ARLA members and follow the strict guidelines set out
for the peace of mind of our tenants and landlords. Your investment is safe in
our hands. Call your local professional letting agent today.
