At the beginning of your tenancy you should have received an inventory of the property giving a breakdown of the condition and contents. It is very important that you ensure this is checked thoroughly and any comments are added, this will mean you are not held responsible for damages or cleaning that were already present when you moved in.
At the end of your tenancy you will be expected to return the property to inventory standard taking into consideration fair wear and tear. Please ensure all your possessions are removed and that a thorough clean and clear of the property is carried out to include any carpets which are soiled. If you have had permission to have pets the carpets will need to be professionally cleaned and deodorised. Hiring a carpet cleaner is not proof that the carpets have been cleaned and if stains still remain we would ask that the carpets are cleaned again by one of our professional carpet cleaning companies. Please ensure the garden is returned to inventory standard to include mowing the lawn, trimming shrubs and general weeding.
